Gary is a qualified chartered accountant and a privacy professional.  An accomplished senior executive with 20 years’ extensive experience he has operated at board level in a variety of roles within a number of complex organisations across Financial Services, Leisure and Retail.
 
Within Finance, Gary has performed most roles from book-keeper through to Finance Director.  Whilst as an Operations Director he spent several years leading large, multi-locational teams providing customer facing service across a variety of disciplines.
 
In Privacy he led the GDPR implementation in the UK for a major global financial institution whilst advising on behalf of the Group across its European jurisdictions, has been the serving DPO for a challenger bank, and is currently Global Privacy Officer for an international energy provider covering the Americas, EMEA and Asia.  As an internationally recognised Privacy expert he has also presented on related topics across Europe and been honorary Conference Chair.
 
Outside of his day roles Gary is a non-executive director operating in the Health, Education and Charitable sectors.
